Who can apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
To join this Central Government post, candidates must have certain specified qualifications:
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10th class (SSLC) from a recognized board .
- Age Limit:
- The applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
- The maximum age should not exceed 23 years .
- Age Relaxation: As per government rules , there is an age relaxation of 3 years for Backward Classes (OBC) and 5 years for Scheduled Castes/Tribes (SC/ST) .
- Physical Qualification: Since this is a uniformed service, candidates must have a specified height and weight and must pass a physical fitness test.
Application fee details
The fees have been fixed so as not to burden the poor and middle class candidates.
- SC/ST/Women: There is no application fee for them (completely free).
- General and OBC: Only ₹159 fee has to be paid online.
How to submit an online application? (Step-by-Step)
There is no need to go to the Browsing Center to apply. Follow these steps from your mobile when the link opens tomorrow (Dec. 27):
- First visit the BSF official website (link given below).
- Go to the “Recruitment 2025-26” or “Constable Recruitment” section on the homepage .
- Click on “New Registration” and register by providing your name, mobile number, and email ID.
- Login using the registration number (Login ID) sent to your mobile or email.
- Fill in the personal details and educational details asked in the application form without any mistakes.
- Scan and upload your recent passport-sized photo and signature.
- Pay the fee (only for those who are applicable) and press the Submit button.
- Take a printout or save the PDF of the application.
Warning: While applying, please ensure that your name is the same as in Aadhaar card and SSLC mark sheet. Otherwise, there may be a problem during the verification of documents.

Expert Tip: Don’t wait until the last date. There is a possibility of server issues in the month of January. So it is better to apply as soon as the link opens on December 27. Applying after 9 pm or before 6 am will get the server faster.
