Scholarship : The Karnataka government has made an important announcement for B.Ed students who are taking a step towards the teaching profession. In order to overcome the difficulties faced in education due to financial constraints, the Minority Welfare Department has announced a “Special Incentive” scheme for B.Ed students for the year 2025-26. Under the scheme, financial assistance of ₹25,000 will be directly deposited in the bank account of the eligible students.
This scheme is specifically targeted at a limited group of students. Its main objective is to enable students from minority backgrounds to pursue their education without financial constraints and achieve their goals. Who gets it? (Eligibility Criteria)

Community:
This scheme is entirely reserved for students from minority communities, only students from Muslim, Christian, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist and Parsi communities are eligible. The aim is to expand educational opportunities to students from the backward classes of the society.
Course:
To be eligible, the student must have taken admission in B.Ed course within the academic year 2025-26. Admissions in government, aided and private educational institutions are valid. However, those admitted to distance education or part-time courses are not included in this scheme.
Personal qualifications:
- The student must be a resident of the state of Karnataka.
- Those engaged in any government service are not allowed to apply.
- The student must be actively registered in the course.
