Qualifications and age limit
Candidates do not need to have a rigorous technical degree to apply for these posts. Those who have completed a general degree can write this competitive exam.

- Education: Those who have a degree in any subject from any recognized university can apply.
- Language Knowledge: Candidates should be able to read, write and speak Kannada. Kannada language test is mandatory as per the rules of the Karnataka Government.
- Age limit: * Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Maximum age for general category is 35 years.
- There is age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government rules.

What is the selection process?
The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) will conduct a competitive examination for these posts. The examination will consist of two main papers:
- Paper 1: General Knowledge.
- Paper 2: Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) topics.
Scoring high marks especially in subjects related to ‘Panchayat Raj Act’ will make your selection easier.
